Sheathed sedge is a shade-tolerant, cool-climate perennial grass ideal for moist woodland gardens, bog edges, or shaded borders. It prefers consistently moist, humus-rich soil and performs best in partial to full shade, making it a useful plant for difficult low-light areas. Minimal care is needed once established; simply keep the soil from drying out and remove any dead foliage in early spring.
