Shrubby Scabland Penstemon

Shrubby Scabland Penstemon is a subshrubby perennial native to rocky, open habitats in California and Oregon, notable for its more woody base compared to other Penstemon deustus varieties. Plant it in well-drained, lean soil with partial shade to full sun and water moderately, allowing the soil to dry slightly between sessions. It is an excellent low-maintenance plant for native and wildlife gardens, supporting bees and hummingbirds with its small tubular blooms.
