Silver banksia is an Australian native shrub or small tree that thrives in well-drained, low-phosphorus soils in a sunny to partly shaded position. It is adapted to periodic dry conditions once established and should never be over-fertilised with phosphorus-rich products. Its distinctive yellow flower spikes are highly attractive to nectar-feeding birds and bees.
