Slender bedstraw
Galium pumilum
Slender bedstraw is a delicate, mat-forming perennial native to European grasslands and limestone meadows, producing tiny white flowers on wiry stems throughout summer. It thrives in poor, well-drained soils and requires little to no supplemental fertiliser — rich soils will cause it to become lax and weedy. Ideal for a naturalistic rock garden or wildflower lawn, it is virtually maintenance-free once established in the right conditions.
