Smooth bedstraw is an undemanding creeping perennial that naturalises well in hedgerows, woodland edges, and shaded borders with average moisture. It produces delicate yellow flowers in spring and requires very little maintenance once established. Plant in partial shade with reasonably fertile, moist soil for the best results.
