Solomon's-seal
Polygonatum odoratum
Solomon's-seal is an elegant shade-garden perennial with graceful arching stems and pendant white flowers that emerge in spring. Plant it in moist, humus-rich soil under dappled or deep shade, and water regularly to keep the root zone consistently moist. It spreads slowly by rhizome to form beautiful, low-maintenance colonies that require virtually no deadheading or pruning.
