Sphagnum cuspidatum
Sphagnum cuspidatum
Feathery bogmoss (Sphagnum cuspidatum) is a specialist aquatic moss used primarily in bog gardens, carnivorous plant setups, and terrarium vivaria. It requires constantly wet to submerged, highly acidic (pH 3.5–5.0), and nutrient-poor water — tap water should be avoided in favour of rainwater or distilled water. It is not a plant for general home gardeners but is invaluable for recreating natural bog and wetland habitats.
