Sphagnum palustre

Marsh sphagnum moss thrives in permanently wet, highly acidic conditions and is essential as a growing medium for carnivorous plants and in bog gardens. Always water with distilled or collected rainwater, as tap water minerals are harmful and will cause decline. It prefers cool, humid, partially shaded environments and requires minimal care beyond maintaining its saturated, nutrient-poor growing conditions.
