Spreading alkaliweed is a tough, low-growing perennial adapted to alkaline, saline, and seasonally dry soils where few other plants survive. It thrives in full sun and is an excellent choice for restoration of salt flats, desert margins, or coastal alkaline habitats. Water infrequently once established and avoid rich or overly moist soils that can cause root rot.
