String sedge is a creeping, rhizomatous wetland sedge ideal for rain gardens, pond margins, and boggy restoration plantings. It thrives in full sun to part shade and requires consistently wet to saturated soil — do not let it dry out. Once established it spreads to form a dense mat and needs minimal care beyond occasional division.
