Suffolk lungwort
Pulmonaria obscura
Suffolk lungwort is a shade-loving woodland perennial that produces charming blue and pink flowers in early spring, making it one of the first blooms to appear in the garden. It thrives in humus-rich, moist soil under trees or in shaded borders and has historically been used in herbal medicine for respiratory complaints. Once established it spreads slowly to form attractive clumps and requires little maintenance beyond removing spent foliage in autumn.
