Swamp sawgrass

Swamp sawgrass is a robust aquatic sedge best suited to rain gardens, pond margins, or bog plantings where the soil remains permanently wet or waterlogged. It prefers full sun to part shade and spreads vigorously by rhizomes, so allow ample space or use containment barriers to manage its spread. Handle the leaf edges with care, as the sharp serrations can cause skin cuts.
