Symphyotrichum pilosum var. pilosum

Hairy white oldfield aster is a tough native perennial that produces masses of small white daisy-like flowers in late summer and fall, making it an excellent pollinator plant. It adapts well to average garden soil in part shade to full sun and requires minimal care once established. Cut plants back by half in early summer to keep them compact and encourage bushier, more floriferous growth.
