Tall melilot is a vigorous, easy-to-grow legume that thrives in sunny to partially shaded spots with average moisture. It produces sweetly scented yellow flowers that are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators. Plant it in a naturalized area or wildflower meadow and water regularly during establishment; it largely looks after itself once settled.
