Tall woolly buckwheat is a striking native perennial from the Pacific Northwest, producing airy clusters of cream to yellow flowers on tall stems above a basal rosette of woolly leaves. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade and water regularly until established, after which it becomes quite drought tolerant. It is an excellent choice for native pollinator gardens and dry slopes, attracting a wide variety of bees and butterflies.
