Talus slope penstemon

Foxglove penstemon (commonly sold as Penstemon digitalis) is a tough, adaptable native perennial producing tall spikes of white to pale lavender tubular flowers beloved by hummingbirds and bees. It grows well in average soils with part to full sun and is quite tolerant of summer heat once established. Deadhead spent flower stalks to encourage reblooming and divide clumps every 3-4 years to keep plants vigorous.
