Thamnosma montana

Turpentine broom is a resinous, aromatic desert shrub native to the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, prized for its bright yellow flowers and nearly leafless green stems adapted to arid conditions. It demands excellent drainage and full sun, and once established needs only occasional deep watering — it is highly sensitive to overwatering and soggy soils. This plant is best suited for xeriscape and native desert gardens where it will thrive with minimal intervention.
