Thunberg's lespedeza
Lespedeza thunbergii
Thunberg's lespedeza is a graceful, arching shrub that produces cascading sprays of rosy-purple flowers in late summer and fall when few other shrubs are in bloom. It is easy to grow in average, well-drained soils and tolerates a range of conditions once established. Cut stems back hard in late winter to encourage vigorous new growth and prolific flowering.
