Tickseed-sunflower

Tickseed-sunflower is a vigorous native wildflower that produces masses of bright golden-yellow blooms from late summer into fall, making it one of the showiest plants for a meadow or rain garden. It adapts easily to moist, fertile soils and tolerates periodic flooding, thriving along pond edges and stream banks. Minimal care is needed once established — simply cut back in late winter to encourage fresh growth.
