Tussock cotton-grass thrives in cool, wet, boggy conditions and is best suited to rain gardens, pond margins, or peat bog recreations. Keep the soil permanently moist to wet and provide at least 6 hours of sun daily. It is a hardy, low-maintenance plant once established in the right conditions but will struggle in dry or warm climates.
