Vitis rotundifolia var. munsoniana

The muscadine grape variety munsoniana is a vigorous, native climbing vine best suited to warm southeastern climates with high humidity. Plant it in full to partial sun with a sturdy trellis or fence for support, and prune annually in late winter to manage growth and improve fruit set. It is notably more disease-resistant than European grapes and well-adapted to sandy, coastal soils.
