Wall-rue
Asplenium ruta-muraria
Wall-rue is a small, delicate evergreen fern naturally found growing in the crevices of limestone walls and rocky outcrops, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens or vertical stone features. It prefers alkaline, gritty, well-drained soil in a shaded to semi-shaded position and requires very little watering once established. Avoid rich, moisture-retentive soils and instead mimic its native rocky habitat for best results.
