Water-violet is a delicate aquatic perennial best suited for garden ponds, wildlife pools, or slow-moving water features in temperate climates. It requires clean, clear water with good oxygen levels and partial shade to thrive, making it more demanding than most pond plants. It produces lovely pale lilac flowers above the water surface in spring and provides excellent habitat for aquatic invertebrates.
