Western waterleaf is a shade-tolerant native perennial well suited to woodland gardens and shaded borders with moist, humus-rich soil. It produces attractive clusters of lavender to white flowers in spring and dies back in summer, making it ideal for underplanting beneath deciduous trees. Minimal care is needed once established in a suitable shaded, moist location.
