Hollow-stemmed asphodel is a sun-loving Mediterranean perennial that produces graceful white star-shaped flowers on tall hollow stems. It is extremely drought-tolerant once established, needing water only every 10–14 days, and thrives in poor, well-drained soils. Plant in a sunny border or wildflower garden and divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
