Wild tulip is a delicate, naturalizing species tulip that produces elegant yellow flowers with a sweet fragrance in mid-spring, spreading gradually through bulb offsets in suitable conditions. Plant bulbs in autumn in well-drained soil in a sunny or partly shaded spot such as a meadow, orchard, or woodland edge. Unlike hybrid tulips it can be left in the ground year after year and will slowly naturalize into charming colonies.
