Willow gentian is a graceful, arching perennial producing vivid deep-blue trumpet flowers in late summer, thriving in cool, humus-rich, consistently moist soil in sun or partial shade. It dislikes hot, dry conditions and performs best in woodland edges, shaded borders, or cool temperate gardens with reliable moisture.
