Willow gentian

Willow gentian is a graceful, arching perennial producing vivid deep-blue trumpet flowers in late summer, thriving in cool, humus-rich, consistently moist soil in sun or partial shade. It dislikes hot, dry conditions and performs best in woodland edges, shaded borders, or cool temperate gardens with reliable moisture. Mulch annually to retain soil moisture and protect the roots, and avoid disturbing the plant once established as it resents transplanting.
