Winter-aconite

Winter Aconite is one of the earliest spring-blooming bulbs, producing cheerful golden-yellow flowers that often push through snow in late winter. Plant the small tubers in autumn in humus-rich, well-drained soil under deciduous trees or shrubs where they will receive dappled spring sunlight. They naturalize beautifully over time and require almost no care once established, going dormant through summer.
