Winter-cress is a hardy, low-maintenance biennial or perennial that thrives in moist, fertile soil with full sun to partial shade. Water regularly during dry spells and allow it to self-seed for a naturalized effect in the garden. It is an excellent early-season nectar source for pollinators and can be grown as an edible green in salads.
