Wood-hyacinth is a charming spring-blooming bulb that naturalises beautifully under trees and in shaded woodland borders. Plant bulbs in autumn in humus-rich, well-drained soil and water during the growing season, then allow them to dry out after the foliage dies back. They require very little attention once established and will multiply and spread over the years.
