Wood millet
Milium effusum
Wood millet is an elegant, arching ornamental grass that excels in shaded woodland gardens and is particularly valued in its golden-leaved cultivar 'Aureum'. It prefers moist, humus-rich soil and partial to full shade, making it perfect for brightening dim garden corners. Once established it is easy to care for; simply cut back old foliage in late winter before new growth emerges.
