Woodland goldenrod is an elegant native perennial that thrives in shaded woodland gardens, producing arching stems of small golden-yellow flowers in late summer and fall when little else is blooming. It prefers moist, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter and is one of the most shade-tolerant goldenrods available, making it ideal for spots that challenge other flowering plants.
