Yellow harlequin is a delicate, spring-ephemeral wildflower that naturalizes beautifully in shaded woodland gardens, flowering early before the forest canopy closes. Plant in rich, moist, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter and enjoy its small yellow blooms in March through May before it gracefully dies back for summer. It requires virtually no maintenance once established and will slowly self-seed to form charming naturalized colonies.
