Yellow-leaf iris is a delicate Pacific Northwest native iris found in shaded forest openings and grassy slopes in California and Oregon, producing pale cream to white flowers with yellow markings. Plant in well-drained, moderately moist soil in part shade and avoid overwatering, as it is sensitive to soggy conditions especially in summer dormancy. It is best suited for native plant and rock gardens where its refined, naturalistic beauty can be appreciated.
