Zig-zag goldenrod
Solidago flexicaulis
Zig-zag goldenrod is an excellent shade-tolerant native wildflower that thrives in woodland garden settings with part shade and consistently moist, humus-rich soil. It requires very little maintenance once established and spreads gradually to form attractive clumps. Cut back stems in late winter to encourage fresh growth and divide clumps every 3-4 years to maintain vigor.
