Aconitum septentrionale

Aconitum septentrionale, commonly known as Wolfsbane or Northern monkshood, is a striking woodland perennial with tall spikes of deep violet-blue flowers that thrive in cool, partly shaded conditions with consistently moist, humus-rich soil. It is best suited for experienced gardeners as all parts of the plant are extremely toxic and must be handled with gloves. Plant in a sheltered border or woodland garden and avoid placing it where children or pets can access it.
