Amorpha glabra

Amorpha glabra, the smooth false indigo, is a native deciduous shrub of the southeastern United States that is easy to establish in average, well-drained soils with partial shade. It produces attractive purple flower spikes in late spring that are highly attractive to native pollinators. Once established it requires minimal care, needing only occasional deep watering during prolonged dry spells.
