Lavandula latifolia
Broadleaf lavender is a robust, aromatic Mediterranean subshrub that thrives in full sun with excellent drainage and very little supplemental watering once established. It is more heat-tolerant than common lavender and produces highly fragrant, camphor-scented flowers widely used in aromatherapy and as a source of lavandin essential oil. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a tidy shape and avoid cutting into old woody stems.
