Cabbage Thistle is a bold, clump-forming perennial native to damp European meadows and woodland edges, thriving in moist, fertile soils with partial shade. Its pale yellow flowerheads are highly attractive to bees and butterflies, making it an excellent plant for pollinator gardens. Young leaves and stems are edible and have historically been used as a cooked vegetable or potherb.
