Carthusian pink is a tough, drought-tolerant alpine perennial that thrives in well-drained, lean soil with plenty of sun. Water moderately and avoid overly rich or waterlogged soil, which can cause root rot. It is an excellent choice for rock gardens, borders, and naturalistic plantings where low maintenance is desired.
