Long Joint Ephedra is a drought-adapted desert shrub native to the arid southwestern United States and northern Mexico, requiring very little water once established. Plant in full sun with excellent drainage and sandy or rocky soil for best results. It is a low-maintenance plant with historical medicinal significance and is well suited to xeriscape and desert garden designs.
