Green olive tree

Green olive tree (Phillyrea latifolia) is a handsome evergreen shrub or small tree native to the Mediterranean region, valued for its dense, glossy dark-green foliage and attractive small black berries beloved by birds. It is extremely adaptable once established, tolerating drought, coastal winds, and poor soils in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Minimal pruning is needed, though it responds well to clipping as a formal hedge or topiary specimen.
