Hedysarum alpinum var. grandiflorum

Alpine Sweetvetch is a charming, cold-hardy perennial legume native to subarctic and boreal regions of Canada, bearing rose-pink to purple pea-like flowers on upright stems in summer. It thrives in cool climates with well-drained, moderately moist soil and partial to full sun, and enriches the soil through nitrogen fixation. This low-maintenance plant is ideal for naturalized or wildflower gardens in northern climates and requires little more than an annual tidy-up after flowering.
