Heliotropium curassavicum var. argentinum

This South American variety of seaside heliotrope is native to the subtropical grasslands and river margins of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, thriving in partial shade with regular moderate watering. It is a low-maintenance perennial that tolerates saline and moist soils but is not frost hardy outside of mild climates. Best grown outdoors in native or wildlife gardens where its small white flowers will attract pollinators.
