Hemerocallis darrowiana

Darrow's daylily is a rare species native to Sakhalin Island, closely related to the familiar garden daylilies but less commonly cultivated, making it a collector's gem for the perennial border. It performs best in moist, organically rich soil with partial shade and consistently moderate moisture, and produces attractive lily-like blooms in summer. Divide established clumps every three to five years in early spring or fall to maintain flowering performance.
