Large selfheal is a tough, low-growing perennial that thrives in ordinary garden soil in sun to partial shade, producing showy violet-purple flower spikes in summer. It is easy to grow, largely self-sufficient once established, and requires only occasional watering during dry periods. An excellent choice for wildflower meadows, cottage gardens, or pollinator borders.
