Mirabilis multiflora var. glandulosa

Desert four o'clock is a tough, spreading perennial native to the southwestern United States, producing masses of magenta flowers that open in the late afternoon. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun to part shade, making it ideal for dry, xeric garden settings. Once established, it requires minimal supplemental watering and will die back to its large tuberous root each winter.
