Oblong-leaf sundew

The oblong-leaf sundew is a carnivorous bog plant that requires consistently wet conditions using only distilled or rainwater, as minerals in tap water are lethal to it. Place it in bright indirect light or gentle direct sun and grow it in a nutrient-poor mix of peat and perlite or pure sphagnum moss. It will capture small insects on its own outdoors or near a bright windowsill, supplementing nutrients it cannot obtain from poor soils.
