Philadelphus microphyllus var. microphyllus

Littleleaf mock orange is a fragrant, compact deciduous shrub producing masses of small white flowers with a sweet orange-blossom scent in late spring to early summer. It thrives in well-drained soils with moderate moisture and tolerates rocky or sandy substrates common in its native Southwest range. Prune immediately after flowering to encourage vigorous new growth and abundant blooms the following year.
