White thyme
Thymus zygis
White thyme thrives in well-drained, sandy or rocky soil and prefers at least 6 hours of sunlight daily. Water sparingly, as it is adapted to dry Mediterranean conditions and is highly susceptible to root rot in waterlogged soil. It is an excellent ground cover for herb gardens and rock gardens, and its aromatic leaves can be harvested for culinary and medicinal use.
